Creating Publishing Schedules

Create schedules for screens to publish content for playback at intended dates and times.

Creating a normal playback schedule

  1. On the VXT CMS Home screen, click Schedule > (New Schedule).

  2. Select your preferred schedule view mode from among (Month View), (Week View), and (List View).

  3. Click Add Content, or navigate to the list page and select the date or time to which you want to add a schedule. The Add Content window appears.

  4. Click (Add Content) from the Add Content window. The Select Content window appears.

  5. Select the desired content or playlist, and click OK.

  6. Set the content repetition count, playback date and playback time.

  7. Click OK to confirm the selection.

  8. On the schedule settings page, enter the name of the created schedule.

    To edit the name, click (Rename) and then specify a different name.

  9. Click Save and then click Set to Screens.

Publishing a normal playback schedule to screens

To publish a schedule created with only content or a normal playlist, use the steps below.

  • Only one schedule at a time can be published to screens.

  1. From the schedule list, select the schedule you want to publish to screens.

  2. Click Set to Screens and then select the schedules to which you want to publish the schedule.

  3. Click Publish.

Creating a sync play schedule

  • This feature may not be supported, depending on the rate plan in use.

  • What differentiates sync playlists from normal playlists is that it is possible to add groups and assign content to each group. To learn more about sync play, refer to the following:

  1. On the VXT CMS Home screen, click Schedule.

  2. Select New Schedule > Sync Play.

  3. Select your preferred schedule view mode from among (Month View), (Week View), and (List View).

  4. Click Add Content, or navigate to the list page and select the date or time to which you want to add a schedule. The Add content window appears.

  5. Click (Add Content) from the Add Content window. The content selection window appears.

  6. Select the desired content or playlist, and click OK.

  7. Set the content repetition count, playback date and playback time.

  8. Click OK to confirm the selection.

  9. On the schedule settings page, enter the name of the created schedule. To edit the name, click (Rename) and then specify a different name.

  10. Click Save and then click Set to Screens.

Managing a Created Schedule

Deleting a schedule

Delete a created schedule, as follows:
Hover the mouse cursor over the intended schedule, click (More), and then select Delete.

Adding and managing tags in schedules

Add a tag to a created schedule.

  1. Hover the mouse cursor over the intended schedule, click (More), and then select Add Tags.

  2. In the add-tag window, enter a new tag or select a previously created tag, and then click Done.

Sharing a schedule to other workspaces

Schedules can be shared to other workspaces. If a shared schedule is edited, the changes are applied to all of the workspaces to which the schedule was shared.

  1. Hover the mouse cursor over the intended schedule, click (More), and then select Share.

  2. Select the workspace to which you want to share the schedule and then turn the unshare switch on or off.

  3. Click Done. The schedule is created in the selected workspaces.

Copying a schedule to other workspaces

Copy the schedule to other workspaces. If a copied schedule is edited, the changes are only applied to the workspace that edited the schedule.

  1. Hover the mouse cursor over the intended schedule, click (More), and then select Copy to Workspaces.

  2. Select the workspaces to which you want to copy the schedule and then click Copy Now. The schedule is copied to the selected workspaces.
