To use Edge Server, you should activate your license after installing the server software.

On the main menu bar of Edge Server, click License to perform the license activation process.

Note

  • With MagicINFO Server, the same number of devices as the number of licenses can be registered to the server. With Edge Server, you should purchase an appropriate license for the number of cores on the PC on which the Edge Server is installed.
  • If the PC on which the Edge Server is installed can connect to an SLM server, you can activate your license in Connected mode.
  • If the PC on which the Edge Server is installed cannot connect to an SLM server, you should activate your license in Disconnected mode. For details, contact the dealer you purchased the Edge Server package from.

Registering a permanent license

To use your server software legally, you should register the license issued to you upon purchase of the package.

  1. Click 1st-Time Activation.
  2. On the displayed permanent license registration window, fill in the License Key field.

    Internet Connection

    Select your Internet connection status.

    License Key

    Enter the product license issued to you.

  3. Click Next.
  4. Fill in the required input fields for license activation, and then select the “I agree to provide this information to Samsung” check box.

    To view the terms and conditions of use, click Terms and Conditions.

  5. Click Save.
  6. After your license registration is completed, the registered license can be found on the License page.

    Note

    If you refresh the Edge Server page of MagicINFO Server, the status changes to Need Registration.
