Overview
MagicINFO Player downloads content and firmware for use from MagicINFO Server.
If these files are downloaded one by one from the main server, there will be a heavy load on the server.
For this reason, Edge Server is allotted to each region so that files requested by the MagicINFO Player can be downloaded in advance to disperse the load.
Edge Server has the following roles.
- It uses a faster local area network than MagicINFO Server to disperse the load of the MagicINFO Server caused due to publication of files.
- If a file has been transmitted from MagicINFO Server to Edge Server over a wide area network and the MagicINFO Player requests the file, the Edge Server forwards the file.
