An event trigger receives signals from sensors or devices through a serial (COM) or network port (UDP broadcast) to trigger events. MagicInfo Player will stand by until it receives the specific event string that triggers an event through a serial or network port.
If the string received matches a defined command string, Player will then move to a previously set page. MagicInfo Premium Author’s Event Trigger feature allows users to define trigger and action values.
Note
Event actions are currently limited to moving to a page.
Receiving external signal through serial port (COM)
Signals from external inputs (barcode scanner or buttons) are transmitted through a serial port and delivered to MagicInfo Player. MagicInfo Player will stand by until it receives the specific event string that triggers an event through a serial port.

Receiving an external signal through the network port (UDP broadcast)
External signals from a local server or a device connected to the same network are transmitted through a network port (UDP broadcast) and delivered to MagicInfo Player. UDP broadcast events can also be sent from SBB’s internal application.
