Create a specific-type schedule to efficiently use different types of devices.

Click (Schedule) > Create Schedule > Content on the main menu bar.

Configuring initial settings for schedule

In the schedule creation window, configure the following items sequentially and then click Create.

  • Supported Devices

    Select a device type to which to distribute the schedule.

    Note

    • Common schedules are compatible with all device types.
    • Devices with specifications higher than those of the selected device are automatically selected. For example, if you select S2 Player, higher versions such as S3 Player and I Player are automatically selected.
    • Select the devices that have been licensed in MagicINFO Server.
  • Schedule Type

    Select a desired schedule type. The schedule types that can be selected are as follows.

    • General: Content and playlists can be published.
    • VideoWall: Distribute VideoWall schedules to devices that have VideoWall layouts configured.
    • Sync Play: You can create and assign synced playback playlists to tag-mapped devices. Synced playback playlists start or switch content files from multiple playlists at the same time. This allows you to play different content on multiple devices simultaneously.
    • Advertisement: Content files for each playlist can be played at a desired time by mapping multiple playlists to a device.

    Note

  • Publish to

    Select a device type to publish the schedule. Devices can be selected by the group. It is not possible to select individual devices.

    Note

    • When VideoWall or Sync Play is selected in Schedule Type, setting is possible.
    • To publish the VideoWall schedule, make sure that the VideoWall layout must have been set under all devices in the same group.
    • To perform Synced Playback, make sure that the same tags are assigned to all devices in the selected group.
    • The same single tag must be set to each target device for the Synced Playback schedule.

  • Number of Slots

    Set the number of ad slots.

    Note

    When Advertisement is selected in Schedule Type, setting is possible.

  • Slot Duration

    Set playback duration for each slot.

Viewing date, channel, and frame

Make sure that the date, channel, and frame are correctly set before adding content.

You can move to the date to publish content by clicking the left or right arrow button. When Today is clicked, the current date is selected.

You can change the viewing type to daily, monthly, or list.

Set the channel to publish a content. When the button is clicked, the corresponding pop-up menu appears. Click Edit Channel, select the channel, and then click OK.

What is a channel?

A channel is similar to a TV broadcast channel. Add channels when creating a schedule and then publish the channels to devices. This allows you to play desired content by changing device channels. For details on changing channels, refer to ▶ Changing device channels

Select a screen frame for a device to which to distribute the schedule. Play a content file on the device screen split according to the selected frame. When the button is clicked, the corresponding pop-up menu appears. To change the frame, click Edit Frame.

Registering content and playlist

Adding content

Drag a content file or playlist from the list to a desired date.

Note

  • Drag the registered content on the schedule and then change the date.
  • Drag the bottom of the registered content on the schedule and then change the time.

Adding content or playlist based on a schedule

  1. Click the blank space on the schedule or drag to the desired date and time.
  2. The Create Schedule window appears.
  3. From Content, click icon.
  4. When the Select Content window appears, select a desired content file and then click Select.
  5. Set the options such as Playback Date, Repeat, and Playback Time.
  6. Click Save.

From the Select Content window, you can set the following options.

  • Content

    Select or change content, playlists and/or input sources to distribute to devices.

    To prevent the content from being changed by inserting a USB device or other actions, select Lock.

  • Playback Date

    To run a schedule continuously, select Never Expired.

  • Repeat

    Within the set period, you can select the repeat interval (Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly).

  • Playing Time

    Set the time to play content. To play content all day long, select 24 Hours.

  • Start Time

    Set the time to start the ad playlist playback.

  • End Time

    Set the time to end the ad playlist playback.

    Note

    • When Advertisement is selected in Schedule Type, setting is possible.
    • To repeat playback of the playlist continuously, select Never Expired.

Saving the schedule

  1. Click Save at the top of the schedule.
  2. When the Save window appears, set the options such as name and device group.
  3. Click Save & Publish.

The schedule is created.

Before saving and publishing a schedule, you can configure the following options.

  • Schedule Name

    Enter a schedule name. A single schedule name cannot be used more than once.

  • Schedule Group

    Select a group for the schedule.

  • Publish to

    Click icon to select a device group to which publish the schedule. Devices can be selected by the group. It is not possible to select individual devices.

  • Description

    Enter a description of the schedule.

When More Options is clicked, you can configure the following options.

  • Background Music

    Select a content to use as background music for the content. If the content mapped to the schedule is a video that contains sound, the sound is replaced by the specified background music and only the video is played.

  • Content Synchronization

    Enable or disable the mode to sync content files. Content file synchronization is a function that syncs playback times when a content file is played on multiple devices that share the same schedule. This function is only available on devices connected to the same network.

  • Continuously Play

    Choose whether to use continuously play.

  • Deploy with Reservation

    Select the Reservation checkbox to distribute the schedule at a specific time. All requests for schedule changes are saved up until the specified distribution time. These changes are applied all at once when the schedule is distributed.
