개요

MagicINFO Player는 MagicINFO Server에서 콘텐츠와 펌웨어를 다운로드 받아 사용합니다.

하지만 이들 파일들을 일일이 메인 서버로부터 다운로드 받는다면 서버에 엄청난 부하가 걸릴 것입니다.

그래서 지역별로 Edge Server를 두고 MagicINFO Player가 요청하는 파일들을 다운로드 받아두어서 부하를 분산할 수 있게 했습니다.

Edge Server의 역할은 다음과 같습니다.

  • MagicINFO Server보다 빠른 근거리 네트워크를 이용하여 MagicINFO Server의 파일 배포 부담을 분산
  • MagicINFO Server로부터 Edge Server의 원거리 네트워크 파일 전송이 일어난 후 MagicINFO Player가 요청하면 해당 파일을 Edge Server가 전달함

Overview

MagicINFO Player downloads content and firmware for use from MagicINFO Server.

If these files are downloaded one by one from the main server, there will be a heavy load on the server.

For this reason, Edge Server is allotted to each region so that files requested by the MagicINFO Player can be downloaded in advance to disperse the load.

Edge Server has the following roles.

  • It uses a faster local area network than MagicINFO Server to disperse the load of the MagicINFO Server caused due to publication of files.
  • If a file has been transmitted from MagicINFO Server to Edge Server over a wide area network and the MagicINFO Player requests the file, the Edge Server forwards the file.
