You can manage MagicINFO Server setup information and device/system information, or view log information. To manage MagicINFO Server general settings, click Server management.
Setting MagicINFO Server
To view MagicINFO Server settings, click Server Settings. Edit setup values as needed and click Save to apply the change.
General
Content Approval | To enable the approve content function, select the Enable checkbox. Refer to the following for further details on approving content. ► Approving content |
Show Notification Number | Tick the Enable checkbox to display the number of server notifications. |
Backup Player | To activate the redundant playback function, select the Enable checkbox. What is Backup Play? In the event of disconnection or input source changes on a device while playing important content, the user-configured backup device will detect the problem and continue to play the content. Refer to the following for further details on Backup Play settings. ► Using Backup Play |
Device Power Control | To provide a user with privileges to control device power, select Enable. |
Number of Device Groups | To provide a user with privileges to control the number of device groups, select Enable. |
Device Group Permission | To provide a user with privileges to manage specific devices by device group, select Enable. |
Sign Up | To enable sign up menu in the login page, select the checkbox for Enable. |
Number of Sign-In Failures | Set to allow a certain number of login attempts before blocking the user from logging into MagicINFO Server. |
Sign-In Block Duration | Specify the amount of time to block users that entered incorrect passwords from signing into MagicINFO Server. |
External Link | Select the Enable checkbox to turn on the external link function. For using external links, see ► Using External Links Note This function is supported only when a specific device group is selected. |
Stay Signed In | If you do not want a session to exit automatically after a duration, tick the Enable checkbox. |
Note
MagicINFO Server administrators (general administrator and organization administrators) do not require special privileges to be setup as they already have permission to manage all devices connected to MagicINFO Server.
Log Management
Log Level Setting | Set log level. For instance, setting the log level to ERROR will not save WARN and INFO logs as they are below the ERROR level. |
File Size | Set storage size for log files. Saved logs will be automatically deleted when the log storage is full. |
File Count | Set the maximum number of log files that can be saved. If the maximum number of log files is exceeded, saved files will be automatically deleted. |
Download | Download log files to your computer. |
Player Log Collect | Collect logs for S Player events. To turn on the function that collects S Player logs, select the Enable checkbox. |
LDAP Server
Use | To use the LDAP server, select Enable. |
Apply Server Management Settings | Tick the Enable checkbox to apply the LDAP Server information to the server. |
SSL | Enable or disable SSL. |
Server Address | Enter the LDAP server address. |
Root DN | Enter the root account required to access the LDAP server. |
Manager DN | Enter the administrator account required to access the LDAP server. |
Manager Password | Enter the administrator password required to access the LDAP server. |
Use Organization Sync | Tick the Enable checkbox to synchronize the organization information from the LDAP Server with the user information. Note Enabling the Organization Sync option will cause changes in organizations on the LDAP Server to be reflected on the server user’s information. |
External Server Management
Monitoring Interval | Specify how often connected external servers should be monitored. |
Error Occurrence | Specify when to check for errors in connected external servers. |
DataLink Servers | Tick the Enable checkbox to activate an external Datalink Server. |
Edge Server | Tick the Enable checkbox to activate an external Edge Server. |
Remote Control Servers | Tick the Enable checkbox to activate an external Remote Control Server. |
Statistics Data Management
Use | Select the checkbox to prevent excessive server load, by collecting and retaining statistical data of playback frequency and audience surveys. |
Collection Period | Specify the period to collect statistical data. |
Collection Frequency | Specify the frequency to collect statistical data of playback frequency and audience surveys. |
Retention Period | Specify the period to retain statistical data by unit. |
Automatic Time Zone (SPlayer)
Automatic Time Zone | Select the Enable checkbox to automatically set the time zone on the S Player device. |
Time Zone | Select a time zone. |
Daylight Saving Time | Select the Enable checkbox to turn on daylight savings time mode. |
Start Time | Set the time to start daylight saving time mode. |
End Time | Set the time to end daylight saving time mode. |
Time Difference | Specify hour offset when using daylight saving time mode. |
Note
Start Time, End Time and Time Difference are enabled when daylight savings time mode is turned on.
Encrypting database settings
Encryption | Turn on or off encryption mode that encrypts database settings. To turn on encryption mode, select ON. |
Database Access Information Management | To view database access information, click View. |
SMTP Server
Note
- SMTP refers to a protocol used to send e-mail. Similar to http which is the main protocol for WWW, SMTP is a protocol used to send e-mail. Protocols used to receive e-mail include POP and POP3.
- This function is supported only when a specific device group is selected.
Enable Alarm Mailing | Send email notifications for device alarms to the user in charge. Issue and send a temporary password to a user email address registered on MagicINFO Server, if necessary. |
Apply Server Management Settings | Tick the Enable checkbox to apply the SMTP Server information to the server. |
Server Address | Enter the SMTP server address to use to send e-mail. |
Authentication | Click the checkbox if authentication is required when connecting to the SMTP server. |
Login ID | Enter the user account required to connect to the SMTP server. |
Password | Enter the password required to connect to the SMTP server. |
Port | Enter the SMTP server port number. |
SSL | Enable or disable SSL. |
Separate Setting | Select Enable to activate individual settings. |
Alarm Mailing Service
Note
- This function is supported only when a specific device group is selected.
- To receive an email notification of a disconnected device, select the Enable Alarm Mailing checkbox from SMTP Server.
Use | To notify users when a device is disconnected from MagicINFO Server, select the Enable checkbox. |
Alarm Interval | Set time interval to import information on the connection status between MagicINFO Server and a device. |
Run Time | Set the time to activate the alarm mailing function. |
Day of the Week | Select days of the week to activate the alarm mailing function. |
Schedules to Expire | Select the target user for alarm mailing when there is a schedule near expiration. |
Playlists to Expire | Select the target user for alarm mailing when there is a playlist near expiration. |
Device Disconnection Interval | To send the disconnected devices by the set time to user email. select Enable and set the time. |
Device Health | Designate a user and items to receive the alarm email when there is an error in the device by clicking Notification. |
Alarm | Click Notification to select a user and items to receive the alarm email. |
Electronic Labels

Use | To use the electronic price management server, select Enable. |
Server Address | Enter the electronic price management server address. |
Login ID | Enter the user account required to connect to the electronic price management server. |
Password | Enter the password required to connect to the electronic price management server. |
