This document provides recommended server HW specifications based on the number of devices and usage scenarios as LFD devices increase.

Test environment

  1. AWS Private network
  2. CPU : 4-core (m5.xlarge), 8-core (m5.2xlarge)

  3. DB : Aurora (db.r4.large)

  4. Cache(Clustering) : Redis (cache.m3.medium)

  5. LoadBalacner (Clustering) : ALB(HTTP)

  6. Load Emulator : Ngrinder v3.4(Controller 1, Agent 10)

  7. APM : Scouter 2.7.0

Test Scenario

  1. Disabled upload screen capture of each device.
  2. Excluded  content download scenario(Use Edge server.)
  3. Excluded firmware download scenario.
  4. Excluded FTP, CIFS contents scenario.
  5. Excluded User activity scenario.
  6. Disabled POP
  7. Log Level = ERROR

  1. Server recommendations are measured indirectly by simulation and may differ from actual operating environment.
  2. The test were measured on the AWS Cloud, and results may vary for other server infrastructures.
  3. The test is assumed to be mainly used by the customer, so it may differ from the actual use.
  4. The test was measured at 4/8 core
  5. The simulation test was not measured from 16 cores or more, and is an estimate calculated based on the 4/8 core result.
  6. The green range indicates that server operates smoothly.
  7. The yellow range indicates that server can be operated, but server delay may occur.
  8. The red range may not operates.
  9. It is measured on a single server basis (e.g. 8-core), and for clustering (4-core + 4-core), the server recommendations are the same even if configured with the same total number of cores. However, the results may be different due to the influence of the related cache and DB.
