The devices, content, and playlists registered in MagicINFO Server can be categorized for classification and management.

Click (Setting) > Category Management on the main menu bar.

Creating a category

  1. Click DefaultOrg from the category list.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter the name of a new category.

A new category is added in the category list.

Note

  • The top category is DefaultOrg. It cannot be deleted or its name cannot be modified.
  • To create a sub category, click a category as parent and then click Create. Or, right-click on the mouse and then click New Group.

Changing category name

  1. Click a category to its name and then right-click on the mouse.
  2. Click Rename on the pop-up menu.
  3. Enter the name to change.

The name of the category selected in the category list is changed.

Deleting a category

  1. Click a category to delete. Multiple items can be selected.
  2. Click Delete or right-click on the mouse, and then click Delete on a pop-up menu.
  3. When a pop-up window appears, click OK.

The selected category is deleted from the category list.
