View or modify MagicINFO Server settings.

  1. Click (Setting) > Server Management on the main menu bar.
  2. Click Server Settings.
  3. After modification of settings, select Enable.

Note

  • Select Enable to activate each individual function.
  • The server configuration can be modified for each organization. Click Server Management. Select an organization from the dropdown list.
  • The items that can be set may vary depending on the organization.

General

  • Content Approval

    You can set to use the content approval function. Refer to the following for further details on approving content. ▶ Approving content

  • Show Notification Number

    When there is any notification for the server, you can set to display the occurrence number.

  • Backup Play

    You can set to activate the redundant playback.

    What is the backup playback?

    In the event of disconnection or input source changes on a device while playing important content, the user-configured backup device will detect the problem and continue to play the content. Refer to the following for further details on Backup Play settings. ▶ Backup Play (redundant playback)

  • Device Power Control

    You can set to assign the privilege to control the device power.

  • Number of Device Groups

    You can set to assign the privilege to control the number of device groups.

  • Device Group Permission

    You can set to assign the privilege to manage specific devices for each device group.

  • Sign Up

    You can set to activate the sign up menu in the login screen.

  • Number of Sign-In Failures

    Set to allow a certain number of login attempts before blocking the user from logging into MagicINFO Server.

  • Sign-In Block Duration

    When log in to MagicINFO Server is blocked due to wrong password specified, you can set the block duration time.

  • Stay Signed In

    Set not to log out automatically after a specific time.

  • Insufficient Capacity

    Set the minimum capacity to display a notice when the capacity is not enough.

Note

MagicINFO Server administrators (general administrator and organization administrators) do not require special privileges to be set as they already have permission to manage all devices connected to MagicINFO Server.

Password Policies

  • Password Expiration Period

    Set the period to change the password periodically.

  • Prevent Password Reuse

    Set not to have the same password upon entry.

  • Password Change after Login

    In case of users added by the administrator, set whether or not to change the password upon initial login.

  • Two-factor authentication (OTP)

    Use two-factor authentication with a one-time password (OTP) when logging in.

    This option can be set only when you have an Admin account.

    On a trusted device, you can configure a setting so that two-factor authentication can be skipped and set the period for which it will be skipped.

    Setting > My Account > My Information > Edit > OTP Authentication Information > Trusted Devices

    Use the path above to configure the settings.

Log Management

  • Log Level Setting

    When saving the records in MagicINFO Server as a log file, you can set the logging level. For example, when the log level is set to ERROR, the WARN and INFO logs are not stored because they are below the ERROR level.

  • File Size

    Set storage size for log files. Saved logs will be automatically deleted when the log storage is full.

  • File Count

    Set the maximum number of log files that can be saved. If the maximum number of log files is exceeded, saved files will be automatically deleted.

  • Download

    Download log files to your computer.

  • Player Log Collect

    You can set to collect the logs for events occurred in S Player.

SMTP Server

  • Enable Alarm Mailing

    You can set to send an email to the person in charge when an alarm occurs.

  • Server Address

    Enter the SMTP server address to use to send e-mail.

  • Authentication

    Check if authentication is required by entering ID and password when connecting to the SMTP server.

  • Login ID

    Enter the ID for the user account to connect to the SMTP server.

  • Password

    Enter the password for the user account to connect to the SMTP server.

  • Port

    Enter the SMTP server port number.

  • SSL

    You can set whether or not to activate SSL for security upon sending emails.

  • Separate Setting

    Activate the separate setting function.

Note

  • The protocol used to send emails is SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). Similar to http which is the main protocol for WWW, SMTP is a protocol used to send e-mail. Protocols used to receive e-mail include POP and POP3.
  • This function is supported only when a specific device group is selected.

Alarm Mailing Service

Note

  • This function is supported only when a specific device group is selected.
  • To receive an email notification for a disconnected device, select Enable Alarm Mailing from the SMTP Server.
  • Use

    You can set to send an email to the person in charge when an alarm occurs.

  • Run Time

    Set the time to send alarm emails.

  • Day of the Week

    Set the day of the week to send alarm emails.

  • Notification

    Click Notification to select a target user and items to send the alarm email.

  • Mail Retention Period

    Check in the retention period for alarm email transmission details.

LDAP Server

  • Use

    You can set whether or not to use the LDAP server.

  • SSL

    Set whether or not to activate SSL for security.

  • Server Address

    Enter the address of the LDAP server.

  • Root DN

    Enter the root account to access the LDAP server.

  • Manager DN

    Enter the administrator account to access the LDAP server.

  • Manager Password

    Enter the password of the administrator account to access the LDAP server.

  • Use Organization Sync

    You can set to sync the organization information of the LDAP server with user information.

    Note

    Enabling the Organization Sync option will cause changes in organizations on the LDAP Server to be reflected on the server user’s information.

  • Separate Setting

    Activate the separate setting function.

Manage

  • Monitoring Interval

    Set the interval how often the connected external servers must be monitored.

  • Error Occurrence

    Set the number of error occurrence times of the connected external servers.

  • DataLink Servers

    Activate the external DataLink Server.

  • Edge Server

    Activate the external Edge Server.

  • Remote Server

    Activate the remote control server.

Statistics Data Management

  • Use

    Set to prevent excessive load to servers by collecting and storing statistical data for playback frequencies and viewer surveys.

  • Collection Period

    Select the period to collect statistical data.

  • Collection Frequency

    Set the frequency to collect statistical data of playback frequencies and viewer surveys.

  • Retention Period

    Set the period to store statistical data for each unit.

Automatic Time Zone (S Player)

  • Automatic Time Zone

    Activate the automatic time zone.

  • Time Zone

    Select a time zone.

  • Daylight Saving Time

    Activate the daylight saving time.

  • Start Time

    Set the start time of the daylight saving time.

  • End Time

    Set the end time of the daylight saving time.

  • Time Difference

    Specify hour offset when using daylight saving time mode.

Note

  • This function is the S Player dedicated configuration function.
  • Start Time, End Time, and Time Difference are activated when the Daylight Savings Time Mode is active.

Database Access Information Management

Encryption: You can set to encrypt the database.

Electronic Labels

  • Use

    You can set to use the electronic price management server.

  • Server Address

    Enter the electronic price management server address.

  • Login ID

    Enter the user account required to connect to the electronic price management server.

  • Password

    Enter the password required to connect to the electronic price management server.

This option is available only when Electric Label software is installed.
