How to install

• Server : MagicINFO Server can only be installed under a Windows administrator account. Install the DB program before installing Server.

How to upgrade

• Precautions when carrying out Updates to Server V9

• When using the PostgreSQL, The DB need to v15.x (DB Backup -> install v15.x -> DB restore)

• The Status Checking Process is added for checking whether the MagicINFO Server PC is proper for updating. (need to be installed either .NET 2.0 or  .NET 4.0 and above in the Server PC).

  IMPORTANT – All Tizen, iPlayer and WPlayer devices must be upgraded to latest firmware before updating to this server version. DO NOT UPDATE TO 21.1080.0 BEFORE THIS STEP HAS BEEN FULLY COMPLETED.

How to install

• Server : MagicINFO Server can only be installed under a Windows administrator account. Install the DB program before installing Server.

   9. The issue of devices disappearing when an upgrade is done from MIS3 to MIS4 has been fixed.
   10. The synchronization between the cache and the DB value of the device is in the process of being fixed.
   11. The issue of MagicInfo Server Config tool not being updated to a new IP Address even if there are changes after installation (WebAuthor) has been fixed.
   12. The issue of thumbnails in device view are not being displayed if content name has + sign in the name has been fixed.
   13. The logic related to Mem cache related errors in logs has been fixed. (CAS)

What’s New in Version 4002.0 of the Server

1. 1. Function addition/modification/improvement
   1. S4Player device supported
      1. S4Player type, which is the new device type for 2016, is supported.
      2. The functions such as contents, schedule, and device control, etc. for S4Player are supported.
   2. Two languages of the Middle East are supported
      1. Along with the multi-languages which have been supported previously, Arabian/Iranian are supported.
      2. Even when set as Arabian/Iranian, the overall UI will be maintained as before. (Left and Right of UI will not be reversed.)
   3. Log collection function for SPlayer device has been added.
      1. When activated on the settings menu, the Log collection function of SPlayer device can be initiated. (In case of SPlayer that supports the relevant function.)
   4. Restart setting function for SPlayer device has been added.
