Using MagicINFO Server, software updates can be published to the connected device at a desired time.

Click (Device) > Software Update > Register & Publish.

Registering software

Before updating software, first register the latest software.

  1. Click Software Update > Register & Publish.
  2. Click Register in the device list screen.
  3. The Software Registration window appears.
  4. Select the device type to update software in Device Type.
  5. From the File Type item, select the file type to update software.
  6. Enter the name of the software to update in Software Name.
  7. In File Title, click and then select the software file.
  8. Click OK.

Distributing software

After registration of software, publish the latest software to following devices.

  1. Click Software Update > Register & Publish.
  2. Select the software to publish at a scheduled time and then click Publish.
  3. The Publish window appears.
  4. Confirm that the type of the target devices for publishing the software, the software name/version and the model are correct.

  5. In Publish Time, select Publish Now or Publish Schedules.

    When Publish Schedules is selected, set the date and time to publish.

  6. Select devices from the Target Device item. If you select all devices, all devices are displayed regardless of the firmware and forced publishing is possible.
  7. After configuration, click Publish.

Note

  • Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) is used to detect errors and verify data integrity in serial transmissions.
  • When the scheduled time set for software publishing is earlier than the current time, distribution starts immediately after scheduling.
  • To see the version of software installed on the current device, move to the device list and then click icon on the device.

Editing software

After software registration, the information such as software model and name can be modified.

  1. Click Software Update > Register & Publish.
  2. Select the software to modify and then click Edit.
  3. The Software Modification window appears.
  4. In Applicable Model, change the software model.
  5. Change the value in Software Name.
  6. Click Save.

Deleting software

  1. Click Software Update > Register & Publish.
  2. Select the software to delete and then click Delete.

The selected software is deleted.

Viewing the software deployment status

After successful registration and deployment of software, click Software Update > Publish. View the software published status.

  • Editing distribution schedules

    To modify software publishing schedule, select a desired item and click Edit.

  • Canceling Deployment

    To cancel a software distribution schedule, select a schedule and click Cancel.

  • Exporting Software Deployment Status

    To export a distribution status list as an Excel or PDF file, select a distribution task and click Export.
