Control devices and process data from a remote location.

Click (Device) > I Player Remote Job on the main menu bar.

Note

The remote job supports only I Player.

Adding a remote task

Click I Player Remote Job > Add.

Finish the configuration in the following order.

Setting the job

  1. The remote job settings window appears.
  2. Enter the job name.
  3. In Job Type, select a desired job and then finish the configuration.
  4. Click Next to proceed.

The job types that can be selected are as follows.

Send File

Send files or folders saved on your computer to specified devices or device groups.

  • Auto Run: Configure the settings to execute the selected file automatically upon transmission.
  • Location: Select the default location or a custom location as the source location for file transfer. The default location is D:\Repository\JobFile. To use a custom location, enter a location on your computer.

Get File

Import files or folders to your computer from the device connected to MagicINFO Server.

  • File Location: Enter the path of the file to import.

Delete File/Folder

Delete files or folders on the device connected to MagicINFO Server.

  • File/Folder Location: Enter the path of the file or folder to delete.

Restart

Restart the system or I Player on the device connected to MagicINFO Server.

  • Reboot Target: Select Player or System.

Service Management

Manage services supported on a device.

  • Service Name: Enter the name of a service.
  • Command Type: Select a service command type.

Execute Command

Enter and execute a command (CMD) used on a computer.

This function may not work properly if the command entered does not exist.

Kill Process

End a process running on a device by entering the process name.

Close Window

Enter the name of a window open on a device to close it.

  • If multiple windows with the same name are open, a random window is selected and then closed.
  • Make sure to enter the entire name displayed at the top of a window.

Get Log File

Import log files from a device to your computer.

Note

When entering a file or folder location, enter the exact path and file name.

Setting the repetition

Set the remote job repetition interval and then click Next.

Select any of Immediately, Once, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly, and then set its details.

Setting device

Select the device to remotely perform the task on and click Next.

  • Individual Device

    Select only a specific device.

  • Device Group Unit

    Select all devices in a specific group.

The remote job is added to MagicINFO Server.

Reusing remote tasks

Reuse a remote task that is already configured. This can save time when performing the same task again.

  1. Click Remote Job.
  2. From the remote job list, select the remote job to reuse and then click Reuse.
  3. The remaining steps are identical to adding a remote task.

Editing remote tasks

You can progress with modifying remote job that has been performed previously.

  1. Click Remote Job.
  2. From the remote job list, select the remote job to modify and then click Edit.
  3. The remaining steps are identical to adding a remote task.

Canceling remote tasks

Cancel a scheduled remote task.

  1. Click Remote Job.
  2. From the remote job list, select the remote job to cancel and then click Cancel.
