How to install

  • Server : MagicInfo Server can only be installed under a Windows administrator account. Install the PostgreSQL(v9.x) program before installing Server.

How to upgrade

Installation Method

  • MagicINFO Edge Server can only be installed under the Windows administrator account.
  • To install the Edge Server V9, first make sure that MagicINFO Server V9 or a later version is already installed.
  • Edge Server V9 can connect the MagicINFO Server V9.
  • To install the Edge Server, first be sure to sync the clock of the PC on which the MagicINFO Server is installed with the PC on which the Edge Server will be installed.
  • If the time difference is greater than 5 minutes between the PCs, the two servers cannot be connected to each other.

What’s New in version V9 (21.1000.2) of the Authentication Server

1. Function addition/modification/enhancement

  • MIS controllers are replaced with the V2.0 restapis.
  • Auth V9 is compatible with MFA.
  • Postgres and sqlserver dependencies are upgraded to support the latest versions of postgres and sqlserver databases (Postgres 12 and SQLServer 2019).
  • Removed the contact administrator link from the login and error pages.
  • Removed the reset password and signup functionality from the login page.
  • Admin URL is only accessible for OIDC, OAuth, and SAML protocols.

2. Limitations

  • Logout functionality is not present.
  • Only Azure AD is supported as the external IDP.
  • Client-specific build is required to use the SAML protocol.

      1. S4Player type, which is the new device type for 2016, is supported.
