This topic is an introduction describes the steps to upgrade MagicINFO Server based on version.

Upgrade from V3 to V4 

This topic covers migration from V3.X to V4.X as the scenario shown in the figure below. 

This guide follows these steps. 

• If necessary, upgarde Database. 
• Upgrade MagicINFO WAS. 
  
  

MagicINFO Database Upgrade  

If necessary, you can upgrade database. 

1. Database Backup (postgreSQL 링크 연결예정)

MagicINFO WAS Upgrade

1. Download MagicINFO Server Install Package from Samsung Software License Manager. Download Center(http://v3.samsunggsbn.com)
2. Check whether the server which is installed V3 meets the system recommendations provided by the Samsung Display Solution site. (https://displaysolutions.samsung.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=2064870)  
   
3. Run the MagicInfo installation package as an administrator. 

4. Since version v4.1.0.0, a status check procedure has been added, and you can check whether it is okay to upgrade in the current status.

   

5. If no error has occurred, proceed to the next step to proceed with the installation.

   

6. Clear your browser cache. This step must be implemented after MagicINFO has been upgraded. 

   Make sure all settings and environments are well preserved after migration.

   

Upgrade from V4 to V6,7,8 

This topic covers upgrade from V4.X to V6,7,8.
